2011 Sima Summer Series Schedule Announced

Sumas International Motorsports Academy is proud to announce the 2011 Sima Summer Series schedule.  It will consist of 6 events with the first taking place on April 23^rd and the championship finale on October 1^st.  The popular one day event that worked so well in the Bridgestone IAME Winter Series will be utilized in the summer series as well.  With the current schedule, you can get nearly two hours of practice in and three races so the extra track time is a bonus.  Another great addition to the track is the on-site kart shop, indoor washrooms and the Sima Café that can warm you up or cool you down depending on the time of year.

 

The tire rule will also be relaxed for the TAG and Shifter classes allowing the new Bridgestone tire, MG Yellow, Mojo and Maxxis to promote participation and get more karts on the track. “The racers suggested and we listened,” said SIMA track manger Scott Cowell.  “With every event we put on, the races have been running smoother and smoother.  We have given away so many great prizes this winter which included tires from Bridgestone, Douglas Wheels, Seattle Mariners tickets, VP fuel, Position 1 training CD’s and chassis packages to use for the year.  We are expecting the summer series to be even better!”
